This flat is the result of fusing/uniting 2 studios to enhance living space (1. in Paris) (2. in a “once-upon-a-time” hotel). It is located on a semi-pedestrian street where Paris’ famous historical art-nouveau movie theatre “Le Grand REX” houses many blockbuster movie premieres in the heart of “Grands Boulevards”.
This side street also the continuation of the iconic “rue Montorgueil” in the 2nd arrondissement.
Renovation was swift although the discovery of architectural details like amazing stone walls were a lovely surprise and required some changes to be made to the original design intent.
The window to the left of the lounge area is actually the one of a former “designed by Pierre” studio that can be viewed here
pictures of the building site with one major constraint: bed had to stay, as due to the narrow staircase, it hat to be lifted up through the window of the previous studio (bed was the full width of the studio)!
